Tracking Group

Saturday Tracking (etc.!) is an exciting option for all levels, from new pups and up! Pay for a year and come on Saturday mornings, 10am to 12 noon. Tracking is the main focus of the group, but agility, obedience and other activities are also pursued, depending on interest, weather and season etc. Cost*  (2012) is $392.00 (includes HST) per year and your year starts exactly when you register.

(Note: No sessions on long weekends and over Christmas)











Pure Bred German Shepherds

 

Ruth Yeulett has been breeding German Shepherds for 40 years. Some of her dogs have gone on to do police work and search and rescue. Ruth breeds only the best! All the dogs at Shannon Lake are pure bred and come from immaculate breeding lines. At Shannon Lake, we specialize in Czechoslovakian, German and American lines. Our Shepherds excel at Tracking, CKC obedience and Schutzhund training, however they also make loyal family pets! Puppies range from $1200-$2000 depending on their lines and temperament. We breed the classic black and tan, black and red, solid black, and also sable colouring.

Beginner's Obedience Class

Level 1 Obedience Classes...

Learn to develop and enjoy a great working relationship with your dog!
In the classes, you will learn to train your dog to respond happily and more reliably to your basic commands. The exercises you will be taught include; controlled leash walking (loose leash walking, close and heel), sit, down, stand, stay and come.
This level is for dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes and should be considered vital for every family dog! A private session gets you started and then there are 8 group lessons (1 per week).

Cost* (2013) is $199.50 (including GST&PST).

 

 

Advanced Obedience Class

 

Level 2 and Advanced Obedience Classes...

The next level, level 2 (and more advanced), is highly recommended for every first level graduate! It will cement and polish what was learned in Level 1, take you on to new exercises and ...it's fun!
At Shannon Lake, advanced training can be an on-going affair! Your eight weeks starts whenever you register. You can complete just one set of classes, or you can continue on, re-registering as your own schedule dictates, as long as you wish to keep learning and progressing!
Currently, the classes are held on Wednesday nights, 7pm to 8pm. Cost* (2013) is $199.50 (including GST&PST), for each eight week session.

(NOTE: single 8 weeks sessions may be available other evenings, on occasion)
